Within the Rolling Stock & Components (RSC) Development & Operations organization, the RSC Development and Project Office is responsible for supporting Regions by adapting and deploying Projects and Engineering Metiers practices, standards and tools, as well as animating and developing competencies.

 

The RSC Engineering is part of the RSC Development and Project Office organization

  • In collaboration with engineering sites has the Design Authority for all technical matters on projects, manages the solutions during the entire lifecycle,

  • defines, promotes and deploys across the Regions the standardization of engineering reference solutions and methods & tools to enhance engineering productivity and efficiency,

  • animates métier network and develops competencies, manages engineering workload and supports engineering on demand from sites

  • manages and supports the deployment of the Engineering transformation.

 

Reporting to the RSC Engineering organization, the RSC Train Control Metier is in charge of the development of train control solutions (functional studies, electrical requirements, interfaces management with SubSystems, SW development and validation, technical support on train) on our rolling stock projects.

 

Reporting to the Train Control Process Owner, you will have the following responsibilities :

 

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Train / Component Control Metier community to define and maintain the Control Metier Process References:
    • Process Documents
    • Templates 
    • Guidelines 
  • Rolling Stock reference for Software development
  • Development of World Class Engineering (WCE) / Engineering School (ES) Training Modules 
  • Support Suppliers, PU and TCE in implementation on projects
  • Monitoring the deployment into projects.
  • Capturing the return of experience to provide a continual improvement.

 

Mandatory:

  • Engineering degree or Master of Science (Engineering, Physical Sciences or others)

  • Communication abilities
  • Software Development Processes
  • Software Quality
  • Detailed knowledge of EN50128, EN 50697 standards

 

Desirable experience in:

  • Railway engineering

  • Systems engineering

  • Project management

  • Change management

 

Competencies & Skills

  • Autonomous

  • Solid interpersonal communication, organization, planning skills

  • Fluent in English
