Could you be the full-time Traction System Engineer in Saint- Ouen , close to Paris, we’re looking for?


Your future role:

Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical powertrain expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, collaborative, and multicultural teammates.

You’ll ensure the compliance, performance, and integration of the electrical powertrain system within our trains. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as EMC, reliability, weight, and safety teams), evaluate technical proposals, and manage technical deliverables from design to validation phases – and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of defining and validating traction functions and performance at the train level, but also support reliability growth during revenue service.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Specifying propulsion and braking functions and their performance at the train level

  • Defining or applying functional architecture and allocating sub-functions to sub-systems

  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and flow down requirements

  • Evaluating sub-system technical proposals and supporting solution selection

  • Managing technical deliverables from designers and manufacturers

  • Ensuring compliance with norms, standards, and local regulations

  • Simulating powertrain energy consumption on mission profiles

  • Leading/supporting technical design reviews and validation activities

  • Performing root cause analysis to improve reliability during revenue service

  • Engineering degree with a background in mechanical and/or electrical systems

  • 5 years’ experience working on electrical powertrain systems

  • Strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Leadership and self-reliance in driving projects forward

  • Fluency in English and French

  • Willingness to travel for short-term missions in France and abroad
