  • ADM France Signalling / within Center of Excellence (CoE)
  • Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM)

 

Purpose of the Job

  • Provide methods & tools support, drive developments and keep an active watch on state-of-the art, in System RAM.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Define appropriate methods, procedures, work method statements and tools for System RAM analysis based on the current and future railway market needs;
  • Specify and lead tools developments & acquisition, create templates and reporting, perform tool customization when necessary;
  • Lead working groups to carry out the above, in compliance with QCD;
  • Provide support and expertise to ADM RAM Operations Engineers on System-related RAM methodology;
  • Check System RAM analysis applications on ADM Operations programs and projects;
  • Take part in ADM R&D programs relevant to the RAM discipline;
  • Take part in RAM training programs to maintain and raise RAM Awareness and competency level;
  • Keep track of relevant international and national RAM standards and guidelines;
  • Operational involvement: act as a RAM Engineer for the development part of the V cycle on some ADM Operations programs and projects.

 

 

Performance Measurement

  • Delivery and quality of guidelines, procedures or work method statements;
  • Efficiency, accuracy, applicability of methods and procedures;
  • Quality of RAM deliverables for operational projects.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Engineering degree;
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus;
  • Strong background in reliability engineering (including availability, maintainability and testability);
  • Team spirit autonomy, good communication skills, ability to lead a working group without hierarchical authority;
  • Strong experience with RAM modelling techniques, such as reliability block diagrams (RBD), Markov models, stochastic Petri nets (SPN);
  • Experience in performing functional analyses and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs);
  • Sufficient background in probabilistic analysis and statistics;
  • Knowledge or previous experience with Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) analysis;
  • Knowledge or previous experience with railway industry is a plus, especially in Signaling systems;
  • Computer literacy:
    1. Required: Microsoft Office, Excel VBA;
    2. Desirable: SQL, R or Python, Reliasoft Synthesis Suite (Blocksim, Weibull++, etc.), Simulation languages.
