Alstom is the leading supplier of integrated turnkey transportation system (metro, tramway, monorail, APM, mainline). Those turnkey systems typically involve the delivery as a single integrated system of the following: rolling stock, signalling, telecom system, power supply, trackwork, depot, platform screen doors, AFC, etc

To support it's growth on the turnkey system market, Alstom is looking for System Engineering Manager (SEM) both within its central organization and on project location.

On turnkey project and tender, the SEM coordinates the system Engineering studies for the project and lead those studies. Interface on site with the Client, partner, sub-systems and third parties on all matters related to the definition of the transport system.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

 

  • Lead the development of system specifications (Functional, architecture, transverse, interface)
  • Obtain Customer/Engineer acceptance of system specifications
  • Organise, in liaison with the PrEM, the engineering activities (priorities, schedule, delivery)
  • Produce with his team, the system specification and the interfaces documents in coordination with the subsystem design
  • Follow up the demonstration of compliance to the contractual requirements and their allocation to the subsystems, and obtain customer/Engineer’s approval
  • Lead the verification and demonstration through the design of system performances
  • Support the sub-systems in their technical discussion with the Customer/Engineer
  • Manage, with the support of the E&M interface manager, the interface definition

 

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

 

  • Master University Degree in Engineering
  • Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment and systemsAt least 5 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions in railway including
  • At east 3 years in managerial positions in turnkey railway international projects
  • Expert in System Engineering
  • Fluent in English and French, and fluent in contract language
  • Good co-ordination and communication
  • Promote Teamwork
  • Knowledge of system engineering methodology (MBSE)
  • Ability to challenge subsystems solutions for a global optimization
