Could you be the full-time  System Engineer in Saint Ouen, near Paris, we’re looking for?

Your future role:
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in systems, electrical, physical or mechanical engineering or similar in a new cutting-edge field. You will be working with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team, and you will be making a significant contribution to the safety and performance of our trains.

You'll play a key role in contributing to the design, validation, and integration of critical subsystems within our trains. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with the Project core teams (Train performance manager, functional, mechanical or electrical engineers, etc.)

More specifically, you will be responsible of complex systems such as doors, air conditioning, bogies, hydrogen storage, adapting your system to the specific needs of each project, endorsing its performance and compliance with customer and regulation requirements. And you you will lead verification and validation activities for your system integration.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Specifying systems technically by integrating business requirements, standards, certifications, safety, platform, and customer needs.
  • Defining the architecture of complex systems at the train level and establishing operational modes.
  • Coordinating technical activities between suppliers and various engineering fields (Safety, EMC, Eco-design, etc.)
  • Leading technical design reviews and develop technical risk mitigation plans.
  • Defining and executing the validation strategy for your system in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Writing train-level validation specifications 
  • Ensuring the integration and fine-tuning of your systems on trains, both on-site and off-site.
  • Steering your system reliability growth, during the warranty period.

All about you:

  • Degree in engineering,with a preference for system, physical, electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Ideally, at least 3 years of experience in industrial engineering experience, in design office environments.
  • General technical knowledge in the railway industry and multidisciplinary expertise (electrical, mechanical, IT, RAMS).
  • Strong analytical skills, and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity with complex system developpment processes.
  • Ability to work in a matrix, multisite, and international organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and French is essential for this role.
  • Availability to travel for short periods in France and abroad.
