Urban Signaling Solution Application Architect F/H
Based in Saint Ouen (93)
The position 🌈
Solution Application Architects are the technical managers in charge of defining the technical solutions for our Urban Signaling System offers and monitoring their application during the project deployment phase.
They play a key role in defining the next stages of our Signaling System for future applications, in line with platform reuse strategies and market needs.
Leading the design of Urban Signaling Systems is an ambitious role that requires a comprehensive understanding of complex systems, general engineering skills, and balancing the state of the art in the railway environment with current challenges such as cybersecurity, eco-design, and data science.
Missions 🛠:
- Define the best design proposal and deployment strategy to meet customer expectations.
- Share the technical need and agree on the solution with bid and project teams, customer interface teams, development teams, as well as Alstom strategic managers.
- Analyze compliance with customer requirements and take into account other relevant technical criteria.
- Organize design reviews with relevant stakeholders (including Development Center teams);
- Contribute to technical reviews, to the management of external interfaces, to the definition of architecture and migration or deployment plans, and to the understanding of the principles of our signaling systems.
- Propose architectures that minimize the costs and technical risks of signaling system development and deployment.
- Act as a technical reference and expert in railway signaling systems and promote our systems through in-house presentations and training.
Our ideal candidate is... 🤩
- Graduated from a Bac+5 engineering school or university equivalent, preferably with a specialization in Rail Transportation Systems.
- Proven experience in a similar position (system design, complex system architecture, project engineering, validation, or operating safety) in a company in the Transportation field or equivalent, experience in Railway Signaling would be appreciated.
- Ability to solve technical problems: with rigor, a critical mind, an analytical approach, but also a creative approach, you are capable of synthesizing the different aspects of a technical subject, making well-founded decisions, and carrying out analyses independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a taste for collaborative work, as well as for technical management: you enjoy teamwork and technical coordination, are open-minded and comfortable making presentations to customers, and are motivated by multicultural environments.
- Fluency in English is essential.
You will be based at our company headquarters in Saint-Ouen (metro 13 and 14).
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
