PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Manage the Industrial planning performance, optimizing the end-to-end Supply Chain in terms of service level, cost and cash to support Alstom growth
  • Drive the Industrial Planning strategy & process design and the associated governance to ensure:
    • Deployment of standards (including tools) at region / site level
    • Continuous maturity improvement
    • Successful implementation of transformation initiatives
  • Ensure strong cascading processes between customer and internal site to avoid need volatility and disturbances on supplier site

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

 

Key accountabilities:

 

  • Define Industrial Planning process strategy and design with “as is” and “to be” process mapping, integrated in the end-to-end Global Supply Chain process covering Tactical and Operational layers (SIOP & MPS)
  • Contribute to Integrated planning Target Operating Model
  • Manage Industrial Planning process performance with systematic monthly review of root causes & analysis with follow up of region owned action plan. Ensure key Industrial Planning KPI positive trend (Production performance, Manufacturing throughput, Planning volatility)
  • Define associated roadmap of transformation and continuous improvement initiatives per region, manage key global initiatives and mobilization deployment
  • Support forecasting and planning simulation ensuring cash optimization as part of the budget and F1 process.
  • Ensure Industrial Planning processes standards & golden rules are well documented (inc associated tools) and shared and that they are clearly understood and applied
  • Reinforce and animate Industrial Planning community at site / region / global level  (updates on process changes, exchange of best practices, skill development plan / site, specific training deployment, workbook for newcomers induction)
  • Benchmark other companies for planning tool and process watch identify and apply new way of working or improvement
  • Lead new tool change: tender & tool selection, tool development and deployment

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Graduated from university or engineering school (Master’s degree)

Desirable:

  • APICS certification is a +

Experience:

Mandatory:

  • Experience in supply chain and in planning (10 years)
  • Knowledgeable of E2E vision for Industrial Planning process and process impact in ERP for procurement and manufacturing

Desirable:

  • Basics of finance (focus on HI and cash impact)

Competencies & Skills:

 

Technical:

  • Good knowledge of planning tool architecture MPS tool (RS Site) or GSI (Compo, Signaling)
  • Good knowledge of processes contributing to tactical and Operational planning (industrial métiers, Project, engineering)
  • E2E Supply Chain knowledge
  • Operational Industrial planning experience > 5 years (Planning tool experience or APS are a +),
  • Global Supply Chain experience, Project Planning experience, Multi-sites planning experience appreciated 
  • ERP SAP experience should be a +
  • Languages: English fluent, French appreciated
