Withing Central Engineering dedicated to Rolling Stock & Component, in the Train Sub System Department, we are looking for a  Sub System Engineer working on Doors.

 

For your dedicated Sub System, you will intervene on 3 main activities, Projects & Tenders, Supplier Follow -up and Expertise & R&D.

 

This role will be the opportunity for you to work on various train projects from tramway to High speed, be part of an innovative approach contributing to the performance of Alstom, get exposure and develop your network across the organisation worlwide.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITES :

On Projects:

  • Act as the referent for Door systems during the project life cycle :
    • Prepare Design Review with suppliers & with Train System Engineers (TSE)
    • Ensure the quality of the deliverables
    • Manage the technical Sub-System products
    • Planning follow up

       

      On Tenders:

  • Analyses customers requirements :
    • Writes the Technical Purchasing Specification (TPS0 - Short Specification) when needed
    • Assists Bid Technical Manager /TSE in filling in “Entry “connector” and issues Exit “connector” (Connector RSAD0)
    • Drives the supplier technical proposals
  • Analyses the suppliers offers together with Sourcing
  • Deliverables :
    • Budget
    • Technical assement
    • Technical description

       

      On Expertise and R&D

  • Participation to Catalogue product definition/ strategy
  • Participation to new product development
  • Supplier R&D follow up
  • Participation to 8D/ quality activities as a door Expert

     

    MAIN CHALLENGES OF THE ROLE :

  • Maximize the change management to secure standardization of solution process
  • Align solution with business maturity model

     

     

    PROFILE :  

    To be considered for this role, candidate need to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes:     

  • Graduated with a master degree, preferably in mechanical, you have a minimum of 5 years experience expertise in railway
  • You demonstrate good communication and organizational skills (ability to meet deadlines). You are result oriented and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.
  • Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom
