Purpose of the job


Working for the Central Train System Engineering, the Sub-System Engineer is in charge of the batteries auxiliary supply sub-system:

  • Execution or assessment of tenders and projects for the sub-system activities
  • Support sub-system standardization activities and developments


Detailed Responsibilities and Tasks


As Sub-System Engineer, you will:

  • Prepare technical sub-system specifications for suppliers
  • Prepare sub-system Clause by Clause and descriptions for customers
  • Technical assessment of suppliers solutions and documentation
  • Analyse the requirements and select the sub-system solutions keeping in mind the products strategy and the catalogue
  • Prepare design reviews with suppliers and with all internal actors
  • Follow Engineering planning and be focusing in Time Delivery
  • Ensure the quality of the deliverables
  • Ensure alignment with system engineers and other relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in R&D activities and Co-Development with suppliers
  • Support the catalogue construction and propose new developments
  • Support technical trade-offs and technical issues analysis
  • Collect return of experience from solutions
  • Report the progress and escalate issues


Education and Skills


To fill this position, we are looking for the following profile:

  • Education level: Master Degree in Engineering, or equivalent College degree;
  • Experience level: Minimum 2 Years in design of auxiliary supply systems (preferably for railways applications);
  • Good communication and collaboration skills: Team player, open and motivated by multicultural environments;
  • Good organizational skills: Ability to meet deadlines and result oriented;
  • Effective team player: Can interface at all levels within the organisation and who can operate successfully in a multi-cultural environment, working effectively with teams distributed across different sites/countries;
  • Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment
