MISSIONS

Are you passionate about applying your knowledge in finding solutions that will contribute to the emergence of new transportation solutions with low carbon impact? 
Join our team in the Innovation Center in Saint-Ouen sur Seine developping solutions on Autonomous mobility (Alstom Headquarter). We are searching for a talented Software Developper for a new innovation program involving autonomous shuttles within a lean startup pathway and in collaboration with engineering, software, mobility experts & external partners in an international environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
As a software developer you will be joining a multidisciplinary and motivated team developing a solution for the vehicle to ground communication. In this role you will shape, define, develop & implement advanced algorithms for real-time vehicle to ground communication applications with safety-critical features. You will also have to interface with the vehicle sub-systems. You will have the opportunity to participate to on-site testing of your algorithms in real conditions on vehicles.
 

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the elaboration of the software specification & architecture, in collaboration with the Program team
• Develop software components:
  • Perform the software components detailed design & coding
  • Set up the software development tool chain
  • Specify, design, prepare and perform tests and verifications of his / her deliverables
  • Support software / software integration
  • Contribute to standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions, including COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf)
  • Apply processes and standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (RoE: Return on Experience, process, …)
• Perform technology scouting to understand the value provided by each approach, constrains, restriction, application context
• Participated to laboratory and on-site testing of a Proof of Concept on real vehicles
• Apply a strong testing and quality assurance practices

COMPETENCIES

• Engineering or master’s degree in Software development, telecommunications or industrial engineering
• Experience in algorithm design and development for embedded application
• Extensive knowledge of software development in C++ in Linux environment. Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of optimization algorithms
• Capacity in working in a changing environment with uncertainty
• Fluent in both French and English
