Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project management and leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering winning proposals and ensuring the alignment of Quality, Costs, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) commitments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, finance, procurement), support the Project Manager in the preparation of the First Financial Project Review (FPR0), and ensure the closure of any open actions assigned to bid management after the Tender Transfer Meeting (TTM).

You’ll specifically take care of managing the Tender QCDP commitment for high or medium-critical bids, but also contribute to the preparation of Win & Loss analysis.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing the Tender QCDP commitment from appointment as Bid Manager to the Tender Transfer Meeting (TTM).
  • Delivering a winning proposal with a defined scope, accurate QCDP commitments, and adhering to the tender budget.
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager to prepare the First Financial Project Review (FPR0).
  • Supporting the closure of open actions following the TTM and first project execution gate.
  • Assisting the Tender Leader in preparing Win & Loss analysis.
  • Driving effective communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of tender management processes and project management principles.
  • Knowledge of Quality, Costs, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) frameworks.
  • Familiarity with financial review and analysis processes.
  • A project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.

You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with advanced standards for tender and project management
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
  • Progress towards leadership roles in tender or project management

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
