JOB TITLE: Security Analyst – Apprenticeship (12 months)

 

The protection of Alstom employees, sites, assets, projects in progress, as well as sensitive information, represents nowadays a necessity for our company development.

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Security encompasses all active and passive measures allowing Alstom to guard itself against, and react to, any kind of intentionally malicious action, both in material and immaterial fields.
  • Within the Chief Security Office, the Security Analyst works in close coordination with the central Security staff (based in France) and local security teams (based abroad).
  • In this framework, he/she will participate in the implementation, management, update and follow up of Alstom Security Policy.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES 

 

  • Monitor geopolitical situation mainly in Europe and keep up to date the country security pages within the Region,
  • Provide analysis and synthesis on security issues and on broader topics that may have consequences on the security environment within the Region,
  • Build an information protection and economic security awareness pack for sensitive functions within the Europe Region
  • Participate in drafting and/or updating security policies and procedures,
  • Be in charge of the follow up of some transversal security projects as well as reporting and KPIs,
  • Depending on the topics, be able to deal with several internal department (Communication, Procurement, IT…), and with some private or public external structures as well (private security company, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or Interior).
  • On demand, draft notes on specific strategic issues, synthesizing information from different sources.

 

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Ongoing Master degree in international affairs, geopolitics, business, security related affairs or engineering
  • French and English mandatory (Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian is a plus)

 

Desirable:

  • Additional degree in Business intelligence would be appreciated

 

Experience

Desirable:

  • Reservist in the police/gendarmerie, armed forces

 

Competencies & Skills

  • Ability to write and synthesize in both French and English,
  • In-depth interest for geopolitical affairs, international relations and security related matters,
  • Good knowledge of international security environment and security issues,
  • Ability to effectively search for open sourced information of interest,
  • Well organized with ability to work under tight deadlines,
  • Analytical mind with capacity to deliver sharp and clear presentations
  • Pedagogical skills and power of conviction,
  • Sense of discretion and confidentiality,

  • Problem solving skills and good interpersonal and communication skills
