Could you be the full-time Internal Safety Assessor in Saint-Ouen we’re looking for?  

 

Your future role 

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical skills in Railway expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Frank Pietzonka (Head of Independent Safety Assessment Ce, Hennigdsdorf), and work alongside dedicated, professional and indestructible teammates who are in a real team spirit in an international environment.  

 

You'll will contribute to deliver safe solutions to our clients and to continuous improvement of our processes thanks to your expertise. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Plan and follow-up Independent safety assessment activities for the assigned projects), Manage Independent Safety Assessment findings, log and much more.  

You’ll specifically take care of the definition and deployment of assessment activities, but also manage the independent Safety Assessment Process. 

 

We’ll look to you for:  

  • Deploy safety assessment applying reference Independent safety assessment process and tools in consistency with applicable standards and regulations 

  • Deliver safety assessment report for the defined key milestones 

  • Present the assessment results to the Project/Product team, and if necessary, to the management or to external entity as customer/railway safety authority 

  • Support the Independent Safety Assessment director or Safety Assessment lead in capturing assessment requests 

  • Apply reference Independent safety assessment process and tools, and contribute to its improvement using REX process. 

  • Estimate and Measure workload of assigned projects  

  • Support safety reviews or other independent assessments as requested 

  • Develop safety expertise and provide contribution to other assessors 

  • Contribute to successful achievement of internal/external audits process compliance  

  • Perform Safety audits, generate audit reports and follow up audit findings 

  • In line with applicable rules of independence provide Safety Awareness training and mentoring to the Engineering organization

  • Recognized Expertise in Railway Safety Domain and Rolling Stock subsystem.  

  • Fluent in English, notion in French. 

  • Technical skills in railway safety process and related methods and tools (FMEA, FTA).  

  • Technical skills in railway operational context and system / product’s functional and technical characteristics 

  • Knowledge of railway safety standards and regulations (CENELEC, CSM, TSI LOC & PAS) 

  • Rigorous and structured with the ability to work against deadlines 

  • Ability to challenge and ability to say no 

  • Communication, Pugnacious, resilience, negotiation
