Purpose of the job :
The mission of the Group Compensation team is to provide guidance, tools, advice and support to the business in order to foster fair, competitive and effective remuneration for our employees globally.
The Global Compensation Manager is responsible for the design, maintenance and governance of the company´s job grading framework and related processes. In this position, the Global Compensation Manager ensures roles are evaluated consistently and transparently across the organization.
Furthermore the Compensation Manager is supporting the annual reward cycle by managing and faciliating the annual salary review budget cycle.
As part of the Group Compensation team this role provides expert guidance and advice on compensation matters to the Total Reward and HR Community. In this role, the Global Compensation Manager is a key stakeholder and facilitator for the adoption of strategic transversal projects for the Group, such as the Pay Transparency program, the Total Remuneration Statement, etc.
Main responsibilities :
- Job Evaluation / Grading
- Ownership for the job grading framework and governance
- Lead job evaluation and grading decisions: manage the job evaluation process for new positions
- Deploy a robust governance schedule to monitor and govern the overall job levelling structure, ensure consistency across Regions and Product Lines.
- Conduct data analysis and reports to monitor grading distribution and evolutions
- Lead the grading stream in the annual job code campaign
- Lead the Job Architecture workstream in the Pay Transparency Project
- Ensure alignment of job architecture design and processes with the deployment of Position Management
- Annual Reward cycle
- Plan, manage and facilitate the global annual salary review budget preparation cycle
- Provide data, templates, guidelines and training to the TR and HR community
- Provide consolidated analysis as well as budget proposals for Group validation
- Provide transversal support to annual compensation cycles (e.g. salary review, STI, compensation surveys)
- Compensation analysis and advice
- Produce ad hoc compensation analytics and insights to support decision making
- Provide ad hoc advice and guidance to TR and HR community on compensation matters
- Support executive compensation pricings
- Prepare concise executive-ready materials (summaries, dashboard, decision papers) for senior stakeholders
Experience, competencies & skills :
- Good understanding of Total Rewards concepts, principles and processes
- Good foundation in job architecture and job evaluation methodologies (WTW Global Grading beneficial)
- Hands-on experience partnering with HRBPs, Finance and senior business leaders to influence decisions
- Experience designing and delivering guidance and training materials for HR and leaders (playbooks, FAQ, process documentation)
- Strong analytical skills and adherence to detail
- Structured and consultative problem solving
- Effective communication with large and diverse audiences
- Ability to produce crisp decision papers and governance documentation
- Autonomous ownership to structure and manage projects and initiatives
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Good team player and passionate about collaborating and interacting within an international environment
