PURPOSE OF THE JOB

 

The RSC projects operations director is the global network leader for “Chief of Operations” / “DFO managers” and is responsible for :

  • DFO / CoO teams development and animation cross sites.
  • Operation requirements application and Special Process consideration in early phase development.
  • Metiers standards application at projects level.
  • Projects operations performance definition and follow up.
  • Align / Challenge all métiers involved in projects operation.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  

Projects Operations coordination activities :

    • PM2020 TOM deployment (RS and Compo levels)
    • Performance follow up robustification
    • DR / GR operationally validated
    • Blocking points identification / management
    • Métiers mobilization as required

Main projects operations performance follow up : Carry Over %, Industrial validation of DR (i.e SP expert involvement), PFMEA created, Validation of GR,  MBOM delivery, FMR (First Mounting Review) / SMR (Serial Mounting Review) fully closed, Industrial times set up using métier standard, Modifications tracking and impacts, Retrofits, Operation OIL management, convergence to SMP – SML, Flow definition, packaging, ToT readiness (donor/receiver), planning adherence, conf & change process application, Work Package adherence …

Global CoO / DFO metiers coordination :

    • Network creation and animation
    • Identification of pipeline resources
    • Develop all required training modules (PFMEA, Industrial Times, T&C, SC, Conf & Change, Planning …)
    • Standard template for project deliverables (WI, PFMEA ….)
    • DFO / CoO KPI dashboard

 

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Experience: 10 years of Operations activities including management position inside project (PrEM / CoD or PrIM / CoO) as well as experience in a global leading position cross regions / sites / projects.

Mandatory:

Projects experience / Global coordination / Process engineering

Desirable:

Product engineering

Technical:

  • Global understanding of transversal processes (Projects, Engineering, Industrial, SC, DFQ…)
  • Train & Components product knowledge
  • Industrialization knowledge (P FMEA, Method Time and Mfg Data such as BoM, Routings, Task Sequence, etc…)
  • Co-Development process.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to analyse in extracting essentials facts
  • Ability to synthesize in preparing clear presentation and reporting .
  • Decision maker, drive to achieve results, ability to put organisation under tension.
  • Influence and convince teams towards Operations targets.
