MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop & lead functionally the network of Site Project and Development Planning Managers

  • Responsible for the Job Descriptions for Project and Development Planning Managers
  • Responsible for the definition of trainings to improve Competences for Project and Development Planning Managers
  • Support the Site Global Planning Managers to define their capacity & capability plans in collaboration with the RSC Planning Capacity & Capability Manager.

 

Network management

  • Lead functionally the Site Project and Development Planning Managers Network
  • Stakeholder Management: keep strong connection with ASST Key User network, Function Directors and their teams and RSC and RSC development transformation team

 

Planning process development and maintenance

  • Responsible for the implementation of the for Project and Development Planning processes during tender and project execution
  • Challenge & contribute to improve consistency & synchronisation of Planning processes on different Sites/Projects/Tenders
  • Manage REX capture on Planning process application on Tender & Projects on different Sites, best practices, recurring pain points & performance of root cause analysis to ensure continuous improvement
  • Guide and support the application of relevant project KPIs

 

Contribute to the development and deployment of RSC A.SST on Tenders & Projects.

  • Ensure the correct application and use of the A.SST tools, schedule templates.
  • Contribute to REX capture on A.SST application on Tender & Projects, best practices, recurring pain points & performance of root cause analysis to improve the toolbox
  • Contribute to provide training to Tender & Project teams to A.SST and to local relays of A.SST trainers.
  • Contribute to the development of the A.SST community network: Key Users (Site KU, Coaches, Trainers).

 

REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory:

  • 10 years experience in Planning 
  • Knowledge of Scheduling
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Techniques
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Management Techniques
  • Practical experience of generating and maintaining schedules and resource plans in a modern Planning software environment
  • Experience in defining and supporting process improvements regarding cost and risk management

 

Desirable:

  • Working experience either in Engineering (e.g., Project Engineering role, Project Management or Operations)
  • Proven track record in managing cross functional Product development projects of similar scale 
  • Knowledge of “System Engineering” design methodology (including V&V/V cycle principles) is an asset
  • Railway industrial experience is of advantage
