Purpose of the Job

 

As a Bid Technical Manager Métier Referent/Engineer, you are the single point of contact for all Tender- and Tender Process related matters in the assigned Region(s) and Platform(s). You will support the development of the Tender Engineering Process, Tools and Templates and to monitor continuation between Bid and Project Execution, Adherence to Baseline incl. bid Assumption and Perform related REX.


Important aspects of the job is to ensure proper and consistent definition of the Reference Solution used as based for the tender gap analysis, Standardization Coefficient, Maturity Matrix, Gap Analysis Cost Estimations as well as cost saving delivery according to target received.
Through close collaboration with BTM’s in Region(s) and Platform(s), address new requirements / needs that would imply new (innovative) solution and to support Technology and Solution Convergence (lead by Platform) with close interaction with RCS Engineering and other functions such as Sourcing, Industrial, Finance, Tender performance, … to ensure harmonization within the Metier’s and Stakeholders


Main Responsibilities:

Specific:

  • Lead multi-functions workshops to develop & improve the Tender Engineering Process, Tools and Training Material
  • Challenge & contribute to improve consistency & synchronisation between all functions involved during the Development scope of Tenders & Projects (Engineering, Sourcing, Industrial, Finance, Tender Performance…).
  • Manage REX captured in Tender & Projects, best practices, recurring pain points & performance of root cause analysis to improve Tender Engineering Process, Tools and Training Material
  • Manage & contribute deployment and training in Regions, Sites and Platforms

 

General:

  • Contribute to the Return of Experience (REX) and improvements, share best practices between the Regions, Sites, and central teams
  • Build up and maintain a close relationship with the key stakeholders: Transformation initiatives (PM2020, E4A, Ody.C implementation), métiers / functions (Development, Project, Procurement, Industrialisation), RSC Development & Project Planning team leads, IS&T and M&T for Tools, APSYS, RSC Management Office peer groups.

 

Main Competencies and Experience:

 

Mandatory:

  • On-cycle experience in Project- or Tender Engineering Management
  • Detailed knowledge of the products architecture, operation and performances
  • Train operation and maintenance knowledge
  • Knowledge on Engineering development DFQ sequences
  • Very good knowledge of Tender Processes
  • Networking and stakeholders’ management
  • Customer oriented approach
  • Good communication and relationship
  • English language proficiency

Desirable:

  • Platform Management experience with products of various complexity
