Alstom is hiring a RAMS Manager for Turnkey projects to reinforce the system Turnkey RAMS team based in Paris Saint-Ouen, Alstom Headquarter.

 

Turnkey RAMS team is in charge of managing tenders and global railway projects, called also Turnkey projects. These projects have the specificities to integrate several subsystems (rolling stock, signaling, platform screen doors, power and track, etc.) to comply with the client requirements in term of planning, cost and quality on a wide range of market railway solutions - mainline, metros and tramways.

 

The RAMS team currently manages several projects in France (Toulouse Metro, Grand Paris L18) and also worldwide as Athens metro, Dubai Metro, Riyadh Metro, Montreal Metro (REM project), Hanoi Metro, Taipei Metro, Qatar Tramway, and others.

 

 

Your mission

 

You will be the point of contact for RAMS topics for the tenders/projects you are appointed to, you undertake to set up and carry out the RAMS activities under your responsibility.

 

You will manage the RAMS network of the project with subsystem RAMS managers to coordinate all project RAMS activities.

 

You will be involved in a variety of technical subjects, and you will seek for the technical understanding of your scope to better assess their RAMS performance and potential areas of improvement and you will be proactive to put under control the Railway safety risks during all project phases.

 

You perform RAMS analysis according to Railway CENELEC standards and in compliance with the project contractual requirements and Alstom internal processes.

 

You will manage the safety issues with external parties (Customers, National Safety Authorities, Independent Safety Assessors) as defined contractually. You are also in charge of RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) activities related to projects.

 

 

What are your responsibilities?

 

You are accountable to:

 

  • Perform the RAMS activities compliant with our commitments in terms of Quality, Costs and Delays,
  • Plan and deliver the RAMS deliverables in a timely manner to achieve the milestones of the project,
  • Ensure the quality of the RAMS deliverables foster their acceptance by the Customer, Independent parties, and Safety Authorities,
  • Convince customers and other stakeholders (ISA, Safety Authorities…) of the Alstom approach and methodology for RAM and safety management & demonstration.
  • Manage the RAMS network with sub-systems RAMS managers

 

You are responsible to:

 

  • Apply Alstom internal RAMS processes and instructions,
  • Support the other stakeholders (design, industrial, sourcing, validation etc..) in the definition of appropriate measures to meet the RAMS actions and to follow their closure through appropriate documented evidence.
  • Be the point of contact for RAMS matters on the project, with the Customer,
  • Have a pro-active approach on the design assessment to support of the definition of suitable technical solutions to put under control the railway safety risks,
  • Having a pro-active and challenging view on the overall RAM results from the contributors to enhance the adequacy/consistency of the RAM studies and requirements. 

 

What do you need to qualify for this job?

 

  • Advanced University Degree in Engineering, RAMS or equivalent.
  • Technical experience: knowledge on railway systems.
  • 3 to 5 years of successful experience with a minimum of 2 years as a RAM/Safety Management preferably in the railway industry (Turnkey projects, signaling or rolling stock system).
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills,
  • Sense of priorities,
  • Structured and organized with hands-on approach,
  • Able to work on international and multicultural projects
  • Fluent in English (Spanish would be a plus)
  • You are opened for some occasional international travels, short-term missions.
