For our activities in the Services Locomotives organisation we are currently looking for a motivated and enthousiastic Services Locomotives Crash business Project Manager.
The Project Manager Locomotives Crash Business is responsible for coordinating and accelerating the recovery of accident-damaged locomotives across the Services footprint in Europe. He/She drives cross-functional alignment between regional Services teams, engineering, industrial sites, supply chain and quality functions in order to reduce lead time, improve execution efficiency and secure customer satisfaction.The Project Manager supports the governance and animation of the Accident Repair Board (ARB), ensuring fast preparation, coordination and implementation of operational and industrial decisions.
Commercial ownership, customer contractual management and P&L accountability remain within the regional organizations.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
The Project Manager coordinates and monitors accident repair activities across multiple sites and supports regions in securing efficient and timely return to service of customer assets.
He/She drives cross-functional coordination between engineering, workshops, supply chain, quality and regional project teams to ensure alignment on priorities, execution readiness and critical path management.
He or she oversees the progress of accident repair activities across the different sites and reports on a regular basis to the Accident Repair Board on project status, critical risks, bottlenecks and recovery actions, in close cooperation with local Project Management.
The Project Manager supports the governance and animation of the Accident Repair Board process, including:
- preparation of decision topics,
- industrial arbitration proposals,
- follow-up of actions and decisions,
- escalation of critical risks impacting lead time, safety or execution readiness.
He/She supports industrial footprint arbitration by assessing the optimal repair location based on capacity, capability, lead time and cost considerations, in coordination with regional organizations, industrial sites and external partners where applicable.
He/She contributes to the definition, coordination and monitoring of recovery planning and key milestones for accident repair activities across the Services network.
He/She coordinates the preparation of accident repair offers together with the regional organizations, ensuring alignment between technical solutions, industrial strategy, planning assumptions and execution feasibility.
Commercial validation, contractual ownership and P&L accountability remain under the responsibility of the regional organizations.
He/She proactively identifies value-adding opportunities for both Alstom and its customers in order to improve operational efficiency, recovery performance and customer satisfaction.
He/She supports regional organizations in the preparation of recovery strategies, claims management and customer discussions related to accident repair activities.
He/She contributes to the development of Alstom Services footprint and accident repair capabilities across the different regions.
Frequent travel to our sites and customers in Europe are to be expected.
QUALIFICATION:
- Master degree in engineering or Business. Post graduate commercial qualifications are well regarded;
- Experience in a relevant role;
- Autonomy, customer friendliness, curiosity, teamwork and initiative are essential assets;
- Soft skills: negotiation skills, making decisions, drive for results;
- Languages: English is a must, French, German or Italian are a plus;
- A clear business development mindset is key.
