Reporting to the Site Engineering Director, you lead and manage engineering activities for international rolling stock tenders.

 

You work on the product definition and technical choices to answer to the customer requirements.

You collaborate with the tender and engineering stakeholders to meet the global target quality, cost, and planning for the project.

You execute the tender task in line within the tender budget and planning to deliver the expected deliverables.

 

You will join the rolling stock Team in Paris, a fully integrated team supporting the Group’s value creation by operationally delivering specific tenders and projects, as well as R&D and sustaining activities.

 

The Paris team has been leading the development of projects like new Avelia liberty for Amtrak, Dubai 2020 Metro and we are starting new projects such as tramways in Cologne and more to come…

 

What are your responsibilities?

 

Management:

Manage functionally the engineering team allocated to the tender

Manage the interfaces with Tender core team and ensures engineering internal interfaces

 

Customer Interfaces:

Perform technical exchanges with the customer

Analyze the customer requirements and identify gaps versus reference product

Provide technical documentation for tender submission to customer

 

Build-up of Engineering proposal with the associated deliverables:

Define best compromise to address the gaps in terms of Quality/Cost/Delivery (Mechanical, Functional Architecture)

Identify technical risks, and ensures they are covered by dedicated action plan agreed by R&D department and specialist metiers.

Establish engineering QCD commitment: Master planning, costing, PDO, Risk assessment and management and obtain validation for tender submission from Bid technical Manager and Bid Manager.

 

 

What do you need to qualify for this job?

 

7+ years of experience with detailed knowledge of rolling stock/train (product architecture, operation and performances), maintenance and customer care activities.

You have a good understanding of tender process and key players role.

The experience of managing projects or bids with multiple interfaces and complexity at an international level.

Excellent leadership skills: agility and autonomy to lead tenders in fast moving and developing environment.

The ability to work on very innovative engineering projects delivering competitive technical solution in terms Quality/ Cost /Delivery.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English are expected to join Teams committed to deliver the best solutions of mobility to our customers.
