For this exciting project, we are looking for a Senior Project Director to lead the Turnkey project (Design & Build, Operate & Maintain) for Aeroport de Paris.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting hierarchically to the D&IS France Vice President with a strong link as well with France Services Vice President for the O&M scope

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ADP Project Director responsibilities are: 

• Plans and manages the complete execution of MRS scope from transfer to close out, in line with Contract requirements.
  • Provide leadership  :

o Establish and maintain an effective and efficient Project Core Team

o Ensure that ways of working are applied to all project activities

• Leads a Project team, including Core team and the various involved PL and in line with the project structure.
• Performs project management and contract administration according to Alstom PM Guidelines and instructions, including proactive risk and opportunity management.
• Ensures completion of Project Performance goals to meet business objectives and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible and accountable for the ADP Project Profit and Loss.
• Represents Alstom in front of ADP stakeholder (incl.senior management).
• Ensures optimal quality of project execution and reviews.
• Ensures that critical project aspects are identified in project reviews and proactively / professionally addressed and followed up.
• Makes sure that key project stakeholders are aligned towards project goals.
• Accountable for the proper implementation of the Alstom EHS policy within the project.
• Provide with his team adequate support to the consortium group especially in project activities which are not represented at the consortium level such as planning, EHS, etc.
• Reports to senior management, with transparency, the actual situation of the project and its key KPIs, during the business/sector project reviews

• Ensure that QCD commitments exist for all subsystems & work packages:

o Allocate all contractual obligations to Work Packages.

o Confirm that QCD commitments will support the successful execution of the contract.

o Ensure that people from Product Lines are involved as needed.

• Manage convergence of work packages as to meet QCD commitments:

o Ensure that all work packages are reviewed on a regular basis with the relevant Work Package Owner to identify and resolve issues.

o Manage all project reviews using the Work Package reports as a basis.

o Ensure that people from Product Lines and Regions are involved as needed.

• At Alstom D&B level, he is responsible for the Project Railway Safety Policy and Plan and obtain Railway approval

• Drive and make decisions for issues that affect performance at the D&B Project Level while, if relevant, still taking into account the Consortium targets:

o Process and decide on recommendations for resolving key issues within projects.

o Ensure that all decisions are executed.

o Manage conflicts and obtain resolutions.

• Drive and make decisions on work packages to ensure successful project execution:

o Give instructions to Work Package Owners (as long there is no conflict with product strategy as defined by the Product Line)

o Raise and resolve conflicts with Product Line Management 

o Identify opportunities with Work Package Owners and Sub System Managers that will result in improved productivity and QCD.

• Manage at Project level all Project Reviews and Gate Reviews, including organisation and reporting (CPR, MPR)

• Supports Commercial strategy by managing impact of all variation orders or internal changes.

o Ensure that all impacts are validated and costs estimated (QCD) by Product Line prior to presentation to customer

o Ensure that all agreed variation orders or internal changes are reflected in project delivery (project schedule, Work Package QCD commitments...)

SKILLS & EDUCATION 

• Engineering Degree
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of performing and managing Project Management processes throughout the full project lifecycle within a similar environment
• Typically 15 years + of relevant Project Management experience (can vary slightly depending on achievements) in international project execution or if domestic, at least complex multi-partners project execution.
