Join us as a Project Control Financial Analyst (m/f) and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Paris, Saint-Ouen, France.



Purpose of the Job


As Finance Analyst, liaise with regional representatives, Project Portfolio Directors, or other relevant stakeholders within the organization to deliver monthly, semester or ad hoc reporting(s) with the right level of quality and analysis.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • FPR of the Month 
    • Define if the Date for closing of the Group needs to be adjusted
    • Coordinate with the Regions the FPR of the month data, ensure data are completed with the right level of accuracy
    • Review the Group consolidation and flag any potential issues
    • Perform random checks with the FPRs to ensure right level of quality
    • Circulate validated FPR list to the full finance community & ensure reconciliation with Regions
  • Early Warning Improvement Consolidation
    • Ensure there is a consolidated view of the Early Warning  & Improvements (EWI) at Group Level
    • Interact with each Region to ensure data is provided on time and with right level of quality
    • Ad-hoc analysis of the EWI
  • Monthly Reviews:
    • Support on monthly presentation for the TOP Management for Actuals and specific topics
    • Right level of analysis to propose 1st comments as draft for the different KPI’s.
    • Lead KPI consolidation & report analysis by Region, by Product line, by platform
  • Ad-hoc analysis:
    • Retrieve data from different tools (Qlikview, Qliksense, G4 etc.) to make different analysis
    • Support on ad-hoc analysis to support management discussions
    • Interact with Region or project to complete such analysis.
  • Tools / System:
    • Able to extract different information from alstom tools,
    • Good knowledge of the project tools (ODY.C / ADEL / G4 / Qlikview etc.)
    • Make proposals for Continuous improvement (process efficiency, with the tolos used, data storage, ……)
    • Know and understand businesses portfolio
    • Cooperate with other expert functions (e.g. accounting, platforms, etc.)
    • Support implementation of the Finance rules in Project reviews


  Key requirements:

    • Bachelor Degree is required in Finance / Accounting (or a similar major)
    • A big advantage will be a Certified accountant (Chartered Accountant / CPA)
    • Experience of Project Controlling & accounting,
    • Experiences in industrial controlling is preferable
    • An auditing and/or project operational background would be an advantage
    • Knowledge of Qlikview, Qliksense, ERP, Planisware
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
