Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive electrical engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates. You'll lead the charge in shaping the future of power supply systems for transportation, ensuring projects are executed with excellence and adhere to the highest standards of quality. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Tests and Commissioning teams), manage critical interfaces with civil and partners/contractors, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
- Ensure the design implementation according to the quality standards and customer technical requirements
- Writing and modifying calculation notes for High Voltage / Traction / Low Voltage Cable Sizing & Protection Coordination, short circuit calculation, CT VT sizing, earthing lightning, UPS and charger sizing, and other traction substation equipment sizing calculations.
- Performing the power supply basic engineering activities for high voltage/medium voltage/low voltage parts of a project.
- Providing electrical architecture, technical specifications, functional specifications, Bill Of Quantities, interface specifications, and identifying gaps versus the reference solutions.
- Identifying and managing the interfaces required between Power Supply subsystem and other subsystems. Including coordination of transversal engineering activities with the sub-system like Earthing & Bonding (E&B), Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electrical Simulations, Civil Works interfaces and topographical referential, etc.
All about you
Our ideal candidate has:
- Engineer Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience in electrical engineering in Metro or tram systems.
- Familiarity with high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical installations.
- Knowledge with BIM methodologies.
Know-how and skills:
- Rigor, perseverance, analytical and synthesis skills
- Quality of verbal and written communication mandatory in English and if possible, in French
- Ability to communicate effectively internally, with customers and supplier’s
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software (ETAP, CANECO, etc.) is a plus.
- Logical and organized
- Multitasking skills
- Ability to solve problems through collaboration, creativity, and analysis
- Ability to work independently and carry out assigned tasks in accordance with instructions, prescribed routines and accepted standard practices.
