Purpose of the Job

Responsible of Engineering development for Tender and Project

 

Organisation Reporting

Hierarchical reporting to Wayside Expertise Manager

Functional reporting to Wayside Project Manager for Supplier coordination & System PrEM for integration and functional aspects

 

Network & Links

Internal: Project Engineering Manager (PrEM), Project team Sourcing, Subsystem Managers (Subcontracted or not),

External: Suppliers, Subcontractors, Customers.

 

Responsibilities

The PSD Engineer must have a strong level in the relevant sub-system and ensure the following activities for tender and project phase:

  • Ensure technical part of RFQ
  • Technical evaluation and sourcing support for supplier selection
  • Lead all the coordination between the supplier and all sub-system interfaces definition
  • Validate all the documentation coming from the supplier (design, T&C, training) and monitor the supplier
  • Validate the supplier standalone test and inspection
  • Coordinate the integration test between the supplier and project team
  • Ensure the full coverage and validation of the sub-system request

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Master University Degree in Engineering Electromechanical Engineer, specialized in systems inter-operability with minimum 5-10 years-experience in PSD systems and interfaces within transportation systems
  • Fluent in English and fluent in contract language
  • Good coordination and communication
  • Knowledge of system engineering methodology (MSBE)
  • Ability to challenge subsystems solutions for a global optimization
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer).
  • Knowledge of PSD supplier panel
  • Knowledge of PSD standard
