Alstom has launched in December 2020 its PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) program named PLM4A. It is an enterprise initiative that enables to create, update, and share the definition of a product, its associated industrial systems, support and services throughout its lifecycle (Design, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Removal), reduce development lead times, ensure innovation, support multi-functional collaboration between various métiers, all the sites, internal and external.
PLM is implemented through a Software platform dedicated to Product Lifecycle Management, providing standard industry processes associated with industry’s best practices.
With the view to optimize design activity within the entire Alstom Engineering, we are looking for an M&T PLM Engineer in the Central Methods & Tools for RSC Development Team. (Rolling Stock & Component). You will have in charge mainly the Mechanical domain: Bill of Material management, Digital Mock-Up management and all associated transverse processes like Modification & Configuration management. In this role, you will play a key and strategic role in the PLM project to define the functional scope based on Métier requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Consolidate needs with central Métier to support Alstom worldwide projects.
- Formalize business requirements in alignment with central Métiers
- Mitigate with Métiers needs, tools capacities, interfaces, and functional data flows
- Ensure that the solution built by IS&T in agile mode is consistent with business requirements
- Pilot the business validation, and mitigate the Métier acceptance
- Design, validate and maintain methodologies and training kit
- Animate site Key User network to assess practices, share REX, converge on standardized way of working, support solution implementation and ensure functional assistance.
- Drive the deployment of standard methodologies among sites
- Ensure continuous improvement of solutions according to Key Users and Métier needs within CCB process (Change Control Board)
You will interact with multiple stakeholders: Engineering métiers teams worldwide to collect their needs, Key Users on site to ensure the level 2 support, Information Systems and Technology teams to follow projects status, functional requirements, and technical infrastructures during appropriate committees.
Your profile
Competences
- Good knowledge of Engineering, PLM, and integration of engineering processes like Detailed and Preliminary Design , BOM and Digital Mockup management
- Good knowledge in Mechanical Design
- Capacity to translate requirements in operational methodologies for tool usage
- Capacity to design and analyze end to end data flows and establish consistent end-to end use cases
- Good knowledge of PLM and CAD solution and technical constraints associated
- Fluent English and spoken mandatory
Technical Experience
- Operational experience in Engineering design office
- PLM and CAD operational experiences (ENOVIA, CATIA ...)
