Title : Overhead Contact Systems (OCS) Design Engineer

 

Purpose of the Job:
• Concerning the projects/tenders executed by Saint-Ouen :
Assist the “OSC Design Leader” (OCS DL) in his/her role of performing the Design activities (Basic, Detailed…) forprojects and/or tenders by producing a part of Design documents.
• Concerning the Electrification Platform missions:
The Design Engineer helps to perform some of the tasks linked to Central Department missions.

 

Position in the Organisation:
Organisation Reporting:
The position reports hierarchically to the “Overhead Contact Systems Engineering Team Leader” (OCS ETL).
The position reports functionally to one of the “Overhead Contact Systems Design Leaders” (OCS DL).
Network & Links:
The OCS DE will liaise with:
• Engineering: The project/tender Design team, the related regional Design team and other Infra/Sys Designteams,
• Project: The project/tender management team,
• Site: The project construction and T&C teams,
• Support functions : Sourcing…
• External interface: Suppliers, Subcontractors, Partners.

 

Missions
Performance Measurement/KPI’s:
The OCS DE’s work will be evaluated according to:
• The following points for the documentation produced by his project Design team:
- On-time delivering: 100%,
- Respect of Design For Quality milestones: 100% Go On Time, in accordance with the standards or rulesof his Metier,
- Respect of performances of the system Designed: 100%.
• The quality of his works performed in the frame of Central miss

 

Responsibilities:
Concerning projects/tenders executed by Saint-Ouen:
• The DE produces a part of the OCS Basic Design on the project/tender :
- OCS General Arrangements
- OCS Technical specifications
- OCS Assemblies & parts
- OCS Layout rules
- OCS Calculation rules and notes
- OCS Feeding and Earthing and Bonding (E&B) principles
- OCS interfaces specifications

• The DE produces a part of the OCS Detailed, Construction and As-built Design on the project/tender :
- OCS Layouts
- OCS Schematics
- OCS Calculation sheets
- OCS Mounting sheets
- OCS Feeding studies
- OCS interfaces with Bridges/Structures studies
- BOQs…


Concerning Central missions:
• The DE is responsible for supporting the
execution of some of the Central Department missions :
- Support on development and maintenance of Reference Solutions and Reference Libraries,
- Support on development of Products
- Support on Innovation
- Support on development and implementation of performant Design tools.
- Support to projects and tenders.


Knowledge & Experience
• Graduated from engineering school in mechanics/material science,
• A minimum of two-three years of experience within OCS engineering department,
• Minimum one project experience in the OCS technology related to the project/tender.
• Good knowledge in the OCS technology to develop for the project/tender,
• Ability to execute Basic and Detailed Design studies.
• Autonomous, motivated, able to take initiative, have good communication skills and interested in technicaltopics,
• Fluent English, Spanish appreciated,
• Good drafting skills of written documents,
• Mastering of 2D/3D CAD softwares and standard office softwares.
