<span 10pt="" style="font-family:;">Within Central Engineering in Saint-Ouen, in the Train Design métier team, we are looking for a Mechanical Standard Solution Engineers.

Train Design métier team is in charge to define, deploy and implement processes, métier rules and standard solutions for all rolling stock and components mechanical  population worldwide. Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Train Design Métier Standard Solution Manager, you will :

  • Collect and evaluate all Alstom existing solutions for dedicated topics (ex: Window, Passenger door, Cab door, Pantograph, HVAC, Fixation, Floor, Seat, Fitting, Cab …)
  • Select and transform into generic or parametric models the existing solutions that represent the best technico economic compromise
  • Promote and improve Mechanical Standard Solution catalogue for RSC.
  • Enhance and integrate existing practices and knowledge, map and develop the missing.
  • Build synergies with other engineering initiatives
  • Colaborate with mechanical calculation to define validation envelop of Métier Standard Solutions



Responsible for :  

  • Applying Way of working defined for Mechanical StdSol management.
  • Collecting existing solution and REX throughout TD network
  • Contributing in solution segmentation and selection
  • Making functional analysis to analyse needs diversity and compare existing solutions
  • Organising StdSol validation with metier management
  • Reporting StdSol progress
  • Ensuring respect of TD rules into proposed StdSol (clamp, 3D master, 3D lean, tolerancing…)
  • Supporting and measuring project adherence to StdSol catalogue

Contributor for :

  • Creating TSS catalogue interface files
  • Animating StdSol training session for site.
  • Ensuring  communication and promotion of TD StdSol
  • Promoting multi metier networking for solution selection (industrial, costing).


Knowledge & Experience :

  • Mechanical Engineering applied to complexes system with 5 to 10 years of experience
  • International Standards and Regulation knowledge for Mechanical railway activities
  • Knowledge of Mechanical technical fields and related Computer Aided Design tools
  • Good global view of train equipment and performances
  • Knowledge in industrial organisation and main process used in railway industry
  • Good communication and negotiation skills, pro-activity, strategic vision, networking culture
  • Very good Communications and interpersonal skills
  • Time Management and and reporting skill
  • English conversational/writing/reading advanced level mandatory
  • French conversational/writing/reading advanced level is preferred
