Could you be the full-time Mechanical Integration Mechanical Design Engineer (MIT MDE) in Saint- Ouen, close to Paris we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical engineering expertise to integrate mechanical subsystems and design complex parts and assemblies in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, rigorous, and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in developing technical solutions that directly impact sustainable and smart mobility. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, such as mechanical design peers, structural design counterparts, structural integrity engineers, and subsystem design teams. You’ll also collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance and quality of deliverables, manage 3D/2D design, allocate volumes, and produce installation deliverables.
You’ll specifically take care of creating and maintaining the Space Allocation Model (SAM), as well as detailed design of mechanical parts and managing engineering change requests.
We’ll look to you for:

Performing space allocation based on inputs provided by the mechanical design teams

Creating and maintaining the Space Allocation Model (SAM) in line with progressive maturity rules

Designing detailed 3D parts considering allocated volumes, interfaces, and manufacturability/maintainability constraints

Producing installation deliverables and annotated technical drawings in 2D or 3D

Collaborating with suppliers to converge on technical definitions and verifying their compliance

Contributing to tolerance calculations and providing weight data to specialized engineers

Participating in expertise activities at Alstom production sites or supplier facilities

Specifying and overseeing tasks delegated to shared engineering centers (SEC)

Degree from an engineering school in mechanical engineering with a Master of Science

2 to 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a heavy industry, including 3D modeling and technical drawing creation

Proficiency in CATIA V5 (or similar software)

Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Enovia or equivalents

Basic English skills for technical meetings and documentation

Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate with various disciplines and functions
