This job is part of the Alstom Global Supply Chain organization, within the “central – corporate” team located in Saint-Ouen Headquarters – France.


The Global Supply Chain covers all the Alstom businesses: Rolling Stock & Components, Services, Signaling and Systems & Infrastructure.


The key missions of the Alstom Global Supply Chain are:

  • To ensure operational performance supported by strong process adoption
  • To develop the Alstom Supply Chain to support region’s growth
  • To lead Supply Chain function and competencies
  • To develop local team empowerment and cross-regional collaboration


The Global Supply Chain is based on 3 major sub-processes:

  • Supply Chain Planning & Hard Inventory
  • Procurement & Supplier Relationship Management
  • Logistics, transport & Customer Services





Material Planning Performance & Development Manager


Being part of the Material Management & Logistics pillar, you will contribute to:

  • Manage the Material Planning performance for ensuring  in the sites efficient material planning activities between the different regions in compliance with the Alstom rules
  • Contribute to the definition of standards, processes and instructions and associated tools, with Alstom Regions involvement
  • Work directly with Alstom sites to support and improve the logistics activities, in alignment with the Global Supply Chain Strategy, on:
  • Process: Set up & deploy processes / standards
  • People: Animate Material Planning Managers, Logistic engineers, SAP key users’ networks and enhance their competencies by providing training module & qualification path
  • Methods & Tools: Develop our SAP backbone (GSI) according to business needs and provide full package for ensuring end user adoption
  • Contribute to the key Global Supply Chain transformation initiatives to support competitiveness & agility (included Digital Supply Chain transformation) within his perimeter.
  • Support tender in definition and improvement of material planinning solutions
  • Ensure compliance to internal & external audits / certification within his perimeter
  • Support the Supply Chain Solution Center (SC²) in deploying material planning processes.




Being part of the Materail Management and Logistics pillar, you will contribute to the development of the following 4 activities:


  • Strategy
    • Bring information and return of experiences from Alstom sites in order to help the design of Supply chain strategy for Material Planning at global regional level
  • Transformation & SC design at tender phase
    • Define Material Planning global process/standards for Alstom sites. Ensure common ways of work in terms of Material Planning, Supplier Delivery Plan communication, Supplier Confirmation
    • Provide technical support including continuous improvement projects and PDCA. 
    • Contribute to SC initiatives roadmap & communication with specific focus on Material Planning, Digital Supply Chain roadmap & key initiatives for Material Planning Activities.
    • Contribute to define, improve the Material Planning design & associated costing for tender
  • Performance management & ops support
    • Monitor consolidated global performance & facilitate regional and site performance reviews for his operational KPIs.
    • Ops KPI:
      • Material Planning : On Time Delivery (External & Internal)
    • Ensure compliance on process review, audits
  • Maturity roadmap deployment
    • Write and update handbooks, golden rules, tools procedures at sub process level and deployed with digital and presential trainings to ensure standard ways of working for all the Material Management  community
    • Support SAP (Global Single Instance) deployment with associated core Material Planning
    • Provide ops support to sites / regions on supply chain stabilization or mobilization of emerging sites, new businesses for the Material Management activities





  • Initial Background: Business or Engineering school graduation with Supply Chain orientation  
  • Languages: English fluent, French appreciated
  • Experience / Knowledge of Material Management operations and P2P process
  • Strategic thinker & performance improvement drive
  • Able to drive transformation at international level
  • Cross cultural interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence at all levels
  • Good background on ERP & associated Supply Chain core model


Availability to support sites and travel + at least 1 week per month
