We create smart innovations to meet the mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. We design and manufacture a complete range of transportation systems, from high-speed trains to electric buses and driverless trains, as well as infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility solutions. Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 75 000 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.

Alstom is deploying an ambitious program aimed at optimizing and harmonizing the management of several master data across several operational processes (engineering, industrialization, sourcing, supply chain, and others). In this context we are looking for a master data manager in charge of engineering parts (standard parts, components on specification, Alstom designed parts) and related classifications based on UNSPSC.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following definitions at Alstom level in relation with engineering parts:

  • the data models (attributes and relations) and codification rules.
  • the SPOT system (Orchestra, PLM4A …) and related governance, organization and processes.
  • the rules (mapping, transformations …) in relation with data flows between the SPOT and other information systems (Orchestra, PLM4A, GSI …)
  • the rules related to change management (revisioning, renumbering) with a particular focus in updating the document ENG-STD-010 (Engineering Parts Codification & Versioning Rules) in the frame of harmonization between exAT and exBT related practices.
  • the related KPIs and data quality rules.
  • the list (in Orchestra) of UNSPSC values used by Alstom in several information systems (PLMs, GSI …) and the alignment in all these systems in case of new or deactivated UNSPSC.
  • the family classification structures and related data (governance, classification attributes, templates of parts) in various information systems (DMA2.3, ORCHESTRA, PLM4A), all based on UNSPSC.

More particularly, you will participate to the following projects with the missions described below:

GSI deployment:

  • Participate to the deployment in selected sites as Engineering BPO
  • Train users in relation with above mentioned definitions, rules and processes
  • Ensure that migrations of parts are processed in compliance with above mentioned rules

Orchestra:

  • Validate the functional specifications in relation with data model of parts and related objects (materials, standards, projects, classification, units of measure, PPLs, documents), parts migration from CLAMP or dynamic acquisition from DMA and PLMs, parts propagation to downstream systems (DMA, PLMs, GSI), parts authoring and related processes (creations, updates)
  • Define and maintain the classification structure and related classification attributes
  • Perform the UATs and manage all issues (defects and change requests) up to completion
  • Write functional training documents in relation with parts management and family classification in Orchestra and provide user’s training as necessary

PLM4A:

  • Participate as required in specification workshops related to engineering parts and related interfaces (e.g. Orchestra to PLM4A), family classification, change and (as designed) configuration processes.
  • Perform UATs as required and write functional training documents in relation with the above

Knowledge & Experience:

  • More than 5 years in Engineering or Industrial, Quality, Supply Chain, Service
  • Strong Business focus
  • Good digital expertise to use existing or new technologies
  • Capacity to translate requirements in operational methodologies for tool usage
  • Capacity to design and analyze end to end data flows and establish consistent end-to end use cases
  • Ability to analyse data and act based on this
  • English conversational/writing/reading advanced level
