In the France Digital & Integrated Systems organization, the System Engineering Department manages the design and deployment of urban and mainlines signalling systems.
As a System Architect you will work on the conventional generation of computer based interlocking systems (Postes d’Aiguillage Informatisés) for France mainlines railway market (SNCF Réseau).
In close collaboration with various metiers involved in the project, you will adapt and sustain the generic conventional solutions for the national network:
- Capturing new use cases, operational scenarios and customer feedbacks
- Upgrading the functions and the architecture of the system
- Ensuring the technical synchronisation of the different subsystems
Duties / Missions:
- Study and select relevant system design solutions and technical possibilities
- Prepare design reviews
- Write system specifications
- Lead and contribute to subsystems upgrades
- Ensure that the system meets the expressed needs and defined evolutions
- Provide support for integration, verification and validation activities, and contribution to Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety targets
- Ensure that the system follows a standardisation approach, reusing existing solutions, implementing reusable solutions, providing an effective deployment kit (tools, user documentation)
- Support external stakeholders (customer, users, offerings) and take part in Quality, Cost & Delivery estimates
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department and to innovation processes
Profile:
Trained in engineering (BAC+5), you have at least 8 years of experience in complex systems engineering, in the field of railway signalling. Significant experience in mainline projects is desired. Perfect fluency in French and English is required.
Autonomy, rigour, adaptability and communication skills are your assets to succeed in this position.
The position is based in Saint-Ouen (93). Occasional trips are possible.
