We are looking for a Logistics Method and Tools Manager (H/F)

This job is part of the Alstom Global Supply Chain organization, within the “central – corporate” team located in Saint-Ouen Headquarters – France.

 

The Global Supply Chain covers all the Alstom businesses: Rolling Stock & Components, Services, Signaling and Systems & Infrastructure.

 

The key missions of the Alstom Global Supply Chain are:

  • To ensure operational performance supported by strong process adoption
  • To develop the Alstom Supply Chain to support region’s growth
  • To lead Supply Chain “métiers” and competencies
  • To develop local team empowerment and cross-regional collaboration

 

The Global Supply Chain is based on 3 major sub-processes:

  • Supply Chain Planning & Hard Inventory
  • Procurement & Supplier Relationship Management
  • Logistics, transport & Customer Services

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:                                                                           

 

         As part of the “Logistics, transport & Customer Services” group, the Logistics Method and Tools manager is the Logistics Subject Matter expert in terms of process and   associated tool (ERP) and will be in charge of the good adoption of the global processes and associated tools within regions & sites.

          An advanced knowledge of SAP ERP is required to perform the job.

    

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Contribute to the definition of standards, processes and instructions and associated tools, with Alstom Regions involvement
  • Provide to Regions and Sites standard Methods (processes) & Information System tools to support overall Supply Chain logistic process
  • Lead the definition of new Information System & tools (IS&T) or the improvement of actual Method & Tools with the IS&T team based on Logistic business requirements & budget constraint.
  • Support the deployment of new core tools and make sure that they are applied in the proper and efficient way.
  • Validate alignment between new Logistic processes and available tools.
  • Sustainable support to sites (including technical trainings and key users skills developments)
  • Animate Key Users networks
  • Support mobilizations requests from Regions/Sites or other Alstom departments on logistic domain
  • Supply Chain continuous technology watch with Key contribution to Digital operations definition within & between Alstom sites

   

QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES - Expected Level

   

  • Initial Background: Business or Engineering school graduation with Supply Chain orientation  
  • Advanced SAP knowledge is a must, including SAP Wharehouse management module
  • Languages: English fluent, French appreciated
  • Availability to support sites outside France and travel + at least 1 week per month.

     

  • Experiences:

Supply Chain information flow experience > 5 years covering:

- Warehouse management flows and production line feeding with IM and WM SAP module

- Logistic mobile solutions with barcode/ QR code use

- Sales & Distribution activities (in the railways business is a +)

- Inter-site internal Procurement with use of Stock transfer orders

- Material master set up and update
