ALSTOM deploy the aPriori software able to calculate the production cost of a part/assembly  based on technical inputs (geometry, tolerances, annual quantity, location of production, industrial processes performed...). You will have a worldwide network of users of this tool. The Key User will be the technical interface with aPriori Company. 


Purpose of the Job :

To be the referent of the aPriori solution in ALSTOM based on :

  • A knowledge of the tool
  • A knowledge of the industrial processes used by ALSTOM and suppliers
  • A knowledge of mechanical design 


Part of the Design to Cost team, hierarchically reporting to the Cost Manager Metallic, your missions will be:

  • Keep the tool up to date
  • Supported aPriori tool callibration
  • Improve collaboration with suppliers
  • Supported and Training to aPriori new users


Performance measurement

  • Put in place formal meeting with aPriori support on enhancement request and open issues
  • Ensure the right use of the tool by the user
  • Monitor tool usage and deployment (monthly dashboard) 
  • Write the technical specification for any specific development 
  • Increase costing tool accurency and agility
  • Monitor design cost effectiveness with cost analysis reports
  • Monitor aPriori tool quotation accuracy
  • Creation and updating of automated templates


You main responsibilities will be:

  • The knowledge of the software
  • The calibration of the tool
  • The qualification of users


Required skills & competencies :

  • Overall knowledge of railway industry (norms, certifications,…)
  • Hard Industrial Process knowledge (segmentation of the industrial processes, pros and cons per processes, method time awareness)
  • Hard knowladge of engineering tools (DMA/CATIA)
  • Knowledge of quality gates (DR, DFQ, RFQ process)
  • Ability to coach
  • Fluent in English
  • Good Entrepreneurship
  • Very good agility and collaboration
  • Good communication 
  • Self-learning
