Could you be the Intern for Development of Energy Simulation Analysis Module Intern at Saint-Ouen HQT that we’re looking for?

Your Future Role
We are seeking a third-year engineering student intern for our Energy Efficiency and Green Technologies department.
In a context of rising energy prices, special attention is given to energy consumption estimates. In 2025, even a 1% error in train energy consumption could result in tens of millions of euros in additional costs for a manufacturer. Therefore, consumption analysis is critical.
The proposed internship initially aims to identify relevant analyses using expert knowledge, then automate report generation based on needs (Hybrid Sizing, energy flow analysis, and train performance). To facilitate this automation, a Python-based user interface will be developed to produce modular reports integrating the various analyses performed.

Software Tools:
  1. Microsoft Office Suite
  2. Visual Studio Code

Task Description:
  1. Analyze the needs of various business units
  2. Create relevant indicators for train energy analysis
  3. Develop a user interface to generate modular reports
  4. Create standardized reports for train performance or hybrid sizing

Deliverables:
  1. Interface for automatic and modular report generation
  2. Python library of relevant indicators
  3. Standardized reports

Short-Term Goals:
  • Get familiar with the Python code of the simulation software
  • Connect with different business units to analyze needs and gather feedback
