We are looking for an intern to join our Procurement department. You will be attached to the Train Interiors Domain and reporting to the Commodity Manager Glazing and Elastomers. 

 

Your mission will be to support the Commodity Manager (CM) in managing and defining the supplier panel on behalf of the Alstom group. You will carry out several actions aimed at defining a strategy on elastomer commodities and its various segments.

 

The main tasks linked to this are:

  • Data crunching
  • Collection and analysis of RFI (Request for Information), Market analysis
  • Data analysis and classification of suppliers according to a framework defined by the CM
  • Update and maintenance of "share place" for the purchasing population of sites around the world
  • Definition of an RFQ document (request for Quotation) Global standard
  • Global benchmark of the panel and classification of results by supplier
  • Analysis of supplier positioning and capabilities to suggest strategic axes

 

 

Profile

  • Curriculum / Field of studies: Engineer or Master Degree in purchasing/sourcing with a first internship in industry is an asset.
  • Good relationship building and communication skills
  • Autonomy and pro-activity
  • Dynamic, synthetic and analytic thinking
  • Computer literacy: Excel and Powerpoint mandatory
  • Ease of integration within an International environment: English speaking
  • Open-minded and interest of international business
