The International Logistic Leader is part of the Out Of Gauge team, which reports to the Global Supply Chain department . This team is localized in Saint-Ouen (93), in our Headquarter.

As International Logistic Leader, you will report to the Out Of Gauge team manager.

 

Purpose of the Job

You are in charge to ensure through adequate sourcing and operational management the delivery of Out of Gauge products (mainly finished trains) to customers or to project sites using the most suitable transport means such as rail, road, overseas.

 

Objectives

To ensure through adequate sourcing support and operational management the delivery of products (mainly trains) to customers or project sites.

 

Responsibilities

 

 

Sourcing / Procurement:

  • Costing responsible during ALSTOM Bid Phase
  • Transport specifications writing and provide support to Procurement during RFP
  • Negotiations driving with suppliers (Technical & Financial)
  • Budget management on related projects
  • Contributes to the definition and implementation of the Indirect Sourcing strategy for given commodities
  • Supplier management during project execution, including Procurement for new/modified scopes of work

 

Supply Chain

  • Manage transportation project as per ALSTOM buying and selling incoterms, including export/import formalities
  • Deliver a turnkey transport solution to Project Management
  • Coordinate and drive all métiers related to RS delivery
  • Ensure the way to handle RS products in relation with train’s designer and tooling manufacturer
  • Full Project implementation (Kick-off meetings, Documentations, supervise physically at least 1st loading/unloading, etc. …)
  • Provide Transport Method Of Statements and participate to ALSTOM’s Customer meeting to assist the Project Manager to explain the transport solution
  • Have to highlight, to advise and to propose alternative solution to a critical situation to not jeopardize deliveries
  • Promote information and best practice sharing over the internal customer community
  • Report OTD & QCD results on a monthly basis as well as improvement projects including supplier evaluation according to rules towards Supply Chain /Indirect Sourcing management
  • Drive and initiate Continuous Improvement
  • International traveling for meetings and/or operations supervision
