Purpose of the job:

The Internal Information Manager – All employees, is in charge of developing and rolling out the editorial strategy, governance and content for all internal communication channels targeting all employees (Intranet, group newsletter, TV network…) in order to foster employee engagement and promote our major activities and successes.


Missions : 

All-employee communications governance

  • Define the internal editorial strategy for the all-employee communications (global international level, connected and non-connected employees)
  • Editorial governance of all internal information tools: Alstom Intranet, Alstom TV, Alstom newsletter, CEO emailings (+ potential others to be set up – ESN etc.)
  • Work in close relationship with all other members of the communication teams worldwide to source and produce content: Regions/Product Lines Coms to identify business content, Audiovisual, etc.
  • Animate the editorial committee and global editorial calendar to identify and prioritise content to be covered at global level
  • Define content to be produced and format (written articles, infographics, videos…) and supervise production (internalised with the Internal Information Officer or externalised with copywriter, graphic design agency…)
  • Write key strategic content – Internal messages of CEO, interviews of Alstom Leadership Team members etc.
  • Guardian of the consistency of editorial contents, channels and templates used by Alstom comms communities

All-employee communications continuous evaluation and improvement

  • Lead and implement a continuous evaluation of the internal communications ecosystem and its impacts (quantitative and qualitative) with the support of an external agency
  • Identify gaps and ways of improvements, especially to better connect the non-connected employees
  • Implement improvements and follow up

Alstom Intranet

  • Together with the Internal Information Officer, Internal Digital Platforms Manager and Alstom IT and with Microsoft, steering of the Alstom intranet and its continuous improvement
    • Supervise the evolutions for the editorial / UX part (profiling, implementation of VIVA Connection, new functionalities…)
    • Report problems / bugs and follow up
  • Editorial governance and support to the other Communications teams and contributors (Regions/Product Lines/Functions/Managerial)
    • Consider, supervise, ensure consistency and validate the creation of any new intranet sub-sites
    • Support other Communications teams and intranet contributors
    • Editorial training of any new intranet contributors

Internal comms network animation

  • Animate the worldwide network of communications people in charge of internal communications throughout the company (+/- 40 pers.)
    • Support/advise them for the editorial production for their respective channels and tools (local intranet, emailings, TV)
    • Animate the monthly Internal Communications Forum
    • Benchmark and share best practices among the network

Team management and animation

  • Management and development of the Internal Information Officer
  • Management / coordination of the external copywriter (punctually)
  • Onboarding of all new communications team members on internal communications
  • Define, update and deploy the all-employee internal comms processes
  • Benchmark other companies


Educational Requirements  

  • Graduates from a communications or journalism school.




  • Minimum 7 years of experience in communications.
  • Knowledge of other functional areas and communications needs within the organisation
  • Knowledge of the domestic environment and the international environment


  • Knowledge of large companies
