We are looking our Supply Chain Process & Tools Development Manager for our Industrial Planning and Inventory team in our central Global Supply Chain department located at Alstom's headquarters in Paris Saint Ouen.


The Global Supply Chain department covers all of Alstom's activities: Trains & Components, Services, Signaling and System & Infrastructure and its main missions are to:

  • Ensure operational performance supported by strong process adoption
  • Develop Alstom Supply Chain to support region’s growth
  • Enhance Supply Chain expertise and competencies
  • Develop local team empowerment and cross-regional collaboration
  • Define needs to develop and improve Supply Chain information systems


What are your responsibilities?  


Your main responsibilities are to:

  • Implement the process and tools strategy of the industrial planning and hard inventory activities:
    • Identify activities needs
    • Contribute to the definition, validation and deployment of standard processes and supply chain tools.
  • Ensure the deployment of processes within the organization to garantee that the target model is rigorously and effectively applied
  • Collaborate with IT teams to monitor tools evolution according to budget

To achieve this objective, you will:

  • Establish the tools & methodology strategy that supports our industrial planning and inventory processes
  • Identify and prioritize activities needs, considering the difficulties encountered by the users
  • Propose improvements to existing standards
  • Lead the implementation of supply chain standards and tools in close collaboration with the IT department, taking into account the budget allocated.
  • Support target model deployment and ensure that it is applied rigorously and effectively through different steering means (maturity matrix, evaluation, etc.).
  • Support the sites in the reliability analysis of ERP (SAP) data and ensure that parameterization standards are understood and applied.
  • Animate the performance of tools & methodology for Industrial Planning and Inventories activities:
  • Participate in the definition and evolution of key performance indicators and compliance with standard processes
  • Built, lead and train Regions network of Industrial Planning and Stocks activities
  • Ensure a technological watch on Industrial Planning and Inventory tools to define the digital operations to be implemented with and between Alstom sites.


What do you need to qualify for this job?


  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain: implementing and developing continuous improvement projects, within an industrial environment, ideally in railway, automotive, or aeronautic sectors
  • Strong supply chain operational expertise and capacity to drive planning & inventory management strategy execution
  • Advanced SAP knowledge is a must, especially SAP PP (Production Planning) and MM (Material Management) modules
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools such as (Ortem) and planning tools such as (Primavera / Anaplan / Kinaxis or similar)
  • Excellent communication, presentation & writing skills in English, French appreciated
  • Team spirit and ability to work in a multicultural and international environment
  • Up to 30% travel to provide onsite support
