Could you be the full-time hybrid TVA Tax Manager in Saint-Ouen, J, FR we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive tax expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside knowledgeable, collaborative, and strategic teammates. You'll be a key Business Partner for our Finance department, providing pivotal insights and advice on indirect taxation matters. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including finance, sales, IT, and procurement), analyze business transactions for VAT implications, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Being seen as a Business Partner for the business in relation to indirect taxation matters.,

  • Advising on structuring for optimal VAT efficiency in public tenders and contract execution.,

  • Monitoring indirect tax implications of transactions (both domestic and cross-border) within the Alstom Group.,

  • Conducting regular VAT audits to ensure compliance and identify potential areas of risk or non-compliance.,

  • Actively pursuing negotiations with (French and foreign) tax authorities, e.g., advise on tax rulings & agreements.,

  • Identifying opportunities for VAT savings and optimization, such as VAT recovery, exemptions, and special schemes.


All about you

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field., and about 7 to 10 years of experience in the field,

  • Knowledge of local and international VAT legislation and compliance requirements.,

  • A certification in taxation or excellent communication skills to articulate complex tax concepts.,

  • Strong strategic thinking to develop and implement VAT compliance strategies.,

  • Proven ability to analyze contracts and business transactions for tax implications.,

  • Negotiation skills to liaise effectively with tax authorities and external advisors.,

  • Capacity to lead VAT training programs and drive knowledge sharing within the organization.
