IPS Engineers are a pool of RSC experts spread across Train Development Sites to support the projects, with a focus on Product Safety.


More specifically, the IPS Engineer for specific regions is responsible to: 

  • Manages his/her own time schedule in coordination with the Head IPS 
  • Support and monitor resolution of K1 & critical K2 for his/her regions or in coordination with other IPS regions
  • Attend Project Safety Reviews as Independent reviewers
  • Support when requested the Projects in front of the customer or any Authority
  • Provide, on a limited scale and duration, technical expertise to projects to address critical issues requiring SME support



  • Minimum experience of 10 years in RS Engineering 
  • Relevant knowledge of vehicle design, maintenance and homologation
  • Proven ability to identify critical issues and take ownership of their solution
  • Significant experience in international projects and knowledgeable of Safety Engineering
  • Inside recognition of one or more domains of expertise
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to integrate, support and, if necessary, lead one or more ad’hoc teams
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical and/or Functional Engineering applied to Railway products
