OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

 

Alstom Services Product Line offers a wide range of business solutions for Rolling Stocks (train, metro, tramway…), Signalling and Infrastructure products: maintenance, modernization, digital services, technical support and parts & repair services.

 

The Digital Transformation organization supports the Services Engineering business on major processes, such as maintenance documentation, catalogue of spare parts, Integrated Logistic Support, parts obsolescence management, Training products, modernization, condition based and predictive maintenance.

 

A set of business solutions is implemented to digitalize these processes, based on technologies such as Arbortext, Anaplan, QlikSense, 3D Experience, Team Center, Parts Publisher, Framemaker and IoT Data Capture solutions.

 

The main stakes are to act as a control tower to ensure overall consistency of Services Engineering applications landscape and provide new Digital solutions for Alstom Service teams and customers: to design and industrialize the solutions and to support the regular deployments.

 

An open position is available in France (Saint-Ouen) to endorse the role of IS&T Services Engineering Solution Architect.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The IS&T Service Engineering Solution Architect will report directly to the Head of IS&T Services Engineering Solutions. He/She will be in charge of  Enterprise Architecture for Service Engineering domain.

 

The major missions of the Service Engineering Architect are the following:

  • Capture, challenge and qualify Services Engineering business needs: collect business requirements, contractual commitments, risk of not doing, business case, identify possible solutions and assess delivery timeline, cost and capacity with IS&T delivery teams
  • Define and maintain long-term Solutions roadmap and strategy (3+ years), aligning:
    • Business strategic stakes, vision & value
    • Solutions architecture & urbanization
    • Vendor roadmaps
    • Global capabilities, capacities and budgets/investment priorities
    • IS&T operating models (delivery & support)
    • Obsolescence management of all IS&T layers
    • Compatibility with technical & security patterns, and continuous alignment with IS&T Infrastructure & Security roadmap
  • Decline 3+ years strategy & roadmap into 1 year rolling portfolio of project, working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders: Business, IS&T Demand Management (Business Partners), IS&T Finance Control, PMO and Solution Leads
  • Animate architecture analysis during project pre study with all stakeholders (business process owner, IT infrastructure and security architects, other business solution architects) and deliver business, application, data and technical architectures
  • Proactively anticipate solutions evolutions to serve or even provoke Alstom business transformation, by continuous and regular internal & external benchmarks, and market watch
  • Enlight top management awareness on IS&T solutions risks & opportunities at company level, to orientate and anticipate tactical and strategic investments
  • Define and maintain Business Solutions Architecture patterns / Service offering catalog
  • Manage Total Cost of Ownerhip of Services Engineering solutions, including license budget
  • Ensures current and future business capabilities are accounted for in the Enterprise Architecture; including the technology capabilities across infrastructure, application and business functions gaining approval from key stakeholders.
  • Defines how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing the data in some way.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Significant experience in in IS organization with a proven experience on Architecture Design and Digitalization
  • Experience in a business context
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • Being able to challenge the teams, to function and to interact with the different stakeholders
  • Architecture management methodology
  • Solution development, modelling tools

EDUCATION:

 

Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology, you have more than 3-5 years of experience in Information System and Technology architecture and solution design. You also have a strong knowledge of Services Engineering domains, such as ILS, PLM or Techpub domains and/or Condition Based and Predictive Maintenance domain.

 

You have good communication, leadership and change management skills. You are result oriented, able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.

You demonstrate the ability to use your technical knowledge in collaboration with other departments (business, sourcing, finance…), to organize workshops and to collect, challenge and formalize requirements.

 

Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom.
