The Human factors/Ergonomics Engineer ensures, in project and offer context, the application of internal procedures, instructions and guidelines of the HF/ergonomics discipline and has to be operative on the following activities:
- Physical Ergonomics assessment with CATIA
- Assessment of display interfaces, definition of design rules
- Human factors studies: workload and risk identification and assessment
- Calculation of Anthropometrics data, seat dimension
- Preparation, analysis and interpretation of REX results,
- R&D under the coordination of Expertise Network
Main responsabilities
- Contributor to all Alstom programs & projects facing technical activities in Human factors/ergonomics related fields
- Responsible for expertise in the domain of human factors/ergonomics, recommendation for diagrams, design of cabin and cars, design of seat and footrest, maintenance of sub-systems,
- Responsible for Human factors related risk analysis and workload evaluation
- Responsible for specification of passengers needs in the domain of services (catering and distribution) and Information (Public address, video, etc...)
- Responsible for assessment of display’s screen (including heuristic), possibly of specification of display
- Accountable for measurements done in Tympanic area (pressure wave)
- Accountable for maintainability and cleanability
- Responsible for platform, pre-projects and projects, simulations for cab visibility, workplace accessibility and reachability. Write reports that summarize the results before SGR. Provide simulation that valid the performance before PGR. Develop and promote the use of mock-up for the definition of cabin and cars layout.
- Contributor to define and deploy the process and tools to implement simulation and assessment
- Contributor for the definition of Engineering instruction, guidelines and DRCL.
- Contributor to develop, deploy and promote the library of manikin, driver’s desk, seat and footrest
- Responsible of QCD of ergonomics/human factors activities
- Accountable for the engineering QCD
- Contributor to develop relationship with Region and Platform to get REX about similar architecture and HF/ergonomics validation of simulated solution
- Contributor for the development of relationship with University
- Contributor to perform active technical watch
- Responsible to report on a regular basis the progress of the different activities
- Responsible to provide support and expertise ergonomics methodologies, assessment
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
- Human Factors / Ergonomics training
Desirable:
- Catia v5, DMA, Human Builder, Human Posture Analysis,
- Virtual reality
Experience
Mandatory:
- Ergonomics and Human factors skills: postural and cognitive analysis
- Use of Simulation
Desirable:
- Virtual reality tools
- Sherpa method
- Nasa-TLX
Competencies & Skills
- Methodologies for ergonomics: tasks analysis (HTA), questionnaire definition, interview, synthesis, RULA, REBA
- Workload analysis (NASA-TLX), Human error (Sherpa), Human reliability analysis (for example THERP, HEART, ..)
- Standard & regulation: TSI, UIC 651, 612, EN 16186, ISO 9241
- Communication skills at least in English and if possible, in French
