Your future role
Under the leadership of Benjamin FITOUSSI, President of Rolling Stock & Components Product Line, take on a new challenge and apply your strategic and organizational expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Acting as a Chief of Staff, you’ll work alongside supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll streamline information flow to the President, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for various engagements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Finance, HR, Engineering, etc.), optimize our management cycles, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of coordinating transverse and transformation projects, but also provide spot support on critical topics.
We’ll look to you for:
1. Lead/launche transverse/transformation projects critical for the organization:
- Coordinate transverse and transformation projects the President wants to increase focus on, particularly cross-platforms or cross-regions projects or projects with no obvious leaders
- Bring spot support to VPs on specific high impact / high complexity / sensitive topics
- For projects with a leader well identified, the Chief of Staff may support the project leader during the launch of the initiative to accelerate it (identify and secure time from key resources, ensure all external stakeholders are onboard e.g. IS&T, HR, …)
- Oversee high-level organizational transformation projects from conception to completion
- Ensure the monitoring and support of ongoing transformation projects to guarantee their alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
2. Make time, information, and decision-making more effective for the President:
- Ensure the right level of awareness of the President on activities happening within the entity
- Anticipate key meetings to be presented by the President and his team (ALC, Board, Team Talk, external meetings with customers or conferences / keynotes etc.) so that material can be prepared in advance and the teams are clear on what material they are expected to produce & secure level of synthesis
- Helps refocus the President spent time on critical topics & ensure delegation is well cascaded
- Ensure enough and clear information is available for the President to take a decision and act as a sparing-partner for some decisions
- Help identify and understand why systemic issues happen in the entity
- Accompany the President in site visit when relevant collecting informal feedbacks
3. Ensure proper way of working of the entity organization:
- Ensure the management cycle of the entity works properly (understand if meetings are efficient by challenging agenda, duration and attendance) and fulfil the required coordination needed by the organization
- Attend management cycle Business Review chaired by the President and track key actions ensuring the follow-up of key items (incl. list of deep dive for next BR occurrence)
- Support the President to review financials on a monthly basis and prepare Business Review with CEO and CFO and Business Update with the Alstom Leadership Committee
- Plan and organize Leadership Committees (e.g. ensure agenda cover all relevant topics raised in the past month and that it is circulated in advance for participants to ask to add a topic, ensure logistic is thought through with the EA and capture key actions and ensure follow-up)
- Consolidate & selectively share informal feedbacks collected from N2, N3 or N4 to the supported President when relevant (importance to be often on-site to be able to collect such informal feedbacks)
4. Spot support on critical topics:
- Help bring structure into strategic presentations within the entity to reach the right level of synthesis and clarity when to present to the entity management or the Alstom Leadership Committee or to the Board of Directors (e.g 2030 Strategy, CRA impact, Digital 2030 strategy, Engineering strategy 2030…)
- Help prioritize critical initiatives to ensure right focus on urgent and critical ones for the entity
- Identify and remove blocking points in transverse initiatives carried-out within the entity securing appropriate focus from other entities such as function or regions

- High degree of autonomy (face to face with the President likely to be no more than once or twice a week)
- Be a listener to what employees from the entity want indirectly the President to hear
- Strong knowledge of methodologies of project management and change management
- University degree or equivalent
- Around 10 years of experience, ideally with a consulting background
- Experience in project management, in transforming organization, at a global scale
