Tender and Project Office (TPO) is part of Commercial organization, with the objective to better serve the expectations of Alstom in :

  • Providing and ensuring state-of-the-art tender and project management know-how, standards, solutions and way of working (processes and tools)
  • Supporting and Enabling people development while being accountable for the capacity management of the function
  • Mobilizing the strong network of Regional Project Office and Product Lines to ensure the needs of the business are aligned and followed for the establishment of processes and tool

 

Part of TPO organization, Project Management Fundamentals (PMF) Department defines the processes/standards/tools for Project & Bid, ensure their proper application, and develop people competencies.

 

Role:

Reporting to the Group Costing Métier manager (in PMF organization), you will be the Costing tool strategy and deployment manager for the Group with following main responsibilities :

  • Strengthen and animate the network of Key Users for Mercury (current Costing consolidation tool) : key users identification when missing, regular updates and communication on key rules or process to consider for Costing, tips on the way to better use the tool, share of best practices, etc
  • Reshape with the support of PM academy team the current training path on Mercury with additional training modules and manage training sessions for the Key Users and for the internal trainers
  • Organize on demand coaching sessions on Mercury for non-mature sites
  • Lead the communication plan on tools dedicated to the entire Costing community including key users (newsletters, webinars, etc)
  • Lead the transformation program to improve efficiency and agility of Mercury :
    • Animate workshops with Costing experts from Product Lines & Regions in order to better capture the needs expressed from the “field”
    • Define business requirements based on the needs expressed,  including interfaces with other existing tools (cost models, OdyC) 
    • Identify with IS&T team and editors potential solutions able to cover to the need
    • Analyze the Pros & Cons of each solutions proposed for Go / No Go decision
    • Lead the development and deployment phases with IS&T team for the solution selected

 

Experience : 10 years of professional experience, preferably in Industry, with a strong background in Costing

 

Requirements :

  • Strong knowledge of Costing rules, financial rules and contractual aspects (bonds & guarantees, …)
  • Comfortable with cost models and costing tools
  • Rigor and analytical skills
  • Results and data oriented
  • Ability to work in network, in an international and a multi-cultural environment
  • Transparency, autonomy and proactive
  • Business trips (~20% to 30% of time)
