Tender and Project Office (TPO) is part of Commercial organization, with the objective to better serve the expectations of Alstom in :

• Providing and ensuring state-of-the-art tender and project management know-how, standards, solutions and way of working (processes and tools)
• Supporting and Enabling people development while being accountable for the capacity management of the function
• Mobilizing the strong network of Regional Project Office and Product Lines to ensure the needs of the business are aligned and followed for the establishment of processes and tool

In particular, Project Management Fundamentals (PMF) Department is charge to define the processes/standards/tools for Alstom, ensure their proper application, and develop people competencies on Project & Bid.

Role:

Reporting to the Group Costing Métier manager (in PMF organization), your main responsibilities as Costing Métier owner are:

• Be the process owner for Costing : ensure that all the standards are regularly updated with the latest company rules, communicated to the Costing community and correctly applied
• Be the representative for Costing on the different streams/workshops dedicated to the development of the future consolidation tool for tender costing (Ody.C) :
  • ensure that the development of remaining functionalities for tender costing is in line with the requirements expressed
  • support Ody.C central team to prioritize those requirements
  • identify and propose continuous improvement initiatives to improve the tool efficiency
  • ensure that the needs expressed from the “field” by the Costing community are considered and covered
  • make sure that the solutions proposed for data transfer between the current Tender costing consolidation tool (Mercury) and the future tool (Ody.C) are agile and “user friendly”
• Monitor the development plan defined per “Métier”/Product Lines of transversal cost models in a webapp:
  • follow-up of the roadmap defined, lead the different streams and challenge the models when relevant
  • liaise with the related stakeholders (eg mainly Engineering, Supply Chain and IS&T) to solve the potential roadblocks
  • ensure the deployment plan on sites defined is on track
• Lead the communication plan dedicated to the Costing community (newsletters, webinars, seminars, etc)
• Support the Project Offices (from Regions/or Product Lines) in the deployment of transversal initiatives for Costing scope (eg PM2020 transformation program)
• Provide support to the Group Costing Métier manager in the development plan defined Costing community (eg trainings, competency assessment, job description updates, etc)

Experience : 10 to 15 years of professional experience, preferably in Industry, with a background in Costing, Market price or Procurement

Requirements :

• Strong knowledge of Costing rules, financial rules and contractual aspects (bonds & guarantees, …)
• Comfortable with cost models and costing tools
• Rigor and analytical skills
• Results and data oriented
• Ability to work in network, in an international and a multi-cultural environment
• Transparency, autonomy and proactive
