Be part of a global procurement team as Commodity Buyer in charge of procurement activities for the Brakes on Commuter & Regional platforms from tenders to projects.
This key position is coming with high stakes whose main mission are :
- Support & Deploy commodity strategy for Brakes with focus on Commuter and Regional platforms
- Ensure project execution in line with QCDT objectives
- Manage Global Supplier Panel relationship : Negociation, Specific Agreement, Supplier workload
Main responsibilities
- Supplier Relationship
- Support global supplier panel relationship (Periodic Reviews)
- Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negociation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
- Monitor day to day suppliers performances and issues
- Management of initial issues before escalation to line manager
- Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines
- Commodity Support
- Active participation to commodity strategy on her/his scope
- Lead commodity commitments according to the defined strategy on her/his scope
- Pilot negotiation with panel suppliers during tender phase to ensure best commodity commitment to platform and site teams
- Represent the commodities towards Region (bid team, projects) and Platforms (Regional, Commuter)
- Animate teamwork with internal and external stakeholders (Projects, Suppliers, Experts) for effective problem solving
- Apply the Alstom Transport Sourcing process and provide return on experience.
- Involvement in projects
- Coordinate project with all Metiers for supplier selection and development
- Prepare and launch of Request For Quotation (RFQ) with suppliers
- Lead project negociation from RFQ to supplier award, Go order and contractualization
- Ensure and negotiate contractual requirement (Specific Agreement, derogation, Go Order decision)
- Monitor sourcing project QCDT (Product development, Pre-bid agreement, Business Award, First Article Inspection, Delivery needs)
- Ensure alignement with QCD commitment respect and animate Planning & Savings reviews as per Tender/project stakes.
- Coordinate sourcing activities with local sourcing teams: Contracts application, strategy, saving actions, suppliers performance reviews.
Profile
- Business school or Engineering degree (with MASTER in purchasing is a plus)
- Experience : Minimum of four years working experience in purchasing or projects
- Behavioural and Technical Skills / Competencies :
- Fluent english & international background
- Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, ability to convince, positive mindset)
- Rigorous and Structured
Job Location / Mobility
- Job location in Saint-Ouen (Paris Area). Other location related to Alstom Site with Commuter/Regional projects could be discussed.
- On site with regular travel frequency to alstom or suppliers sites mainly in Europe
