Could you be the full-time Commodity Manager in Saint Ouen sur Seine we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and strategic sourcing expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, collaborative, and multicultural teammates.

You'll play a key role in driving Alstom’s procurement strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering innovation within the supply chain. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with global, regional, and local teams across Procurement, EHS & CSR, HR, Communication, Finance, Legal, and Sourcing T&E, while also leading supplier negotiations and implementing commodity strategies.

You’ll specifically take care of coordinating sourcing activities and developing commodity strategies, but also ensuring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

We’ll look to you for:

·       Coordinating and sourcing in line with business objectives and Alstom procurement processes

·       Defining and developing commodity strategies with stakeholders and ensuring their implementation

·       Contributing to the development of global commodity strategies

·       Leading commodity maturity improvement plans

·       Negotiating contracts and frame agreements with key suppliers

·       Defining supplier target panels and ensuring alignment with sourcing strategies

·       Driving efficiency through benchmarking and continuous improvement programs

·       Innovating through best practices and leading their implementation

·       Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

·       Managing a multicultural team, including 5 direct reports

·       Degree from a business or engineering school (preferred)

·       5-8 years of experience in international purchasing within an industrial environment

·       Experience in project management (both direct and functional)

·       Strong buying and negotiating expertise

·       Capability to build robust strategies

·       Strong business acumen and analytical skills

·       Leadership, communication, and influencing skills

·       Management experience

·       Results, service, and customer-oriented mindset

·       Agility in a multicultural environment

·       Team spirit, autonomy, and a proactive approach

·       Fluency in English and French (mandatory)

·       Willingness to travel regularly to Saint-Ouen (20-30%)
