Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a key role in developing an analytical tool to predict diphasic propane (C₃H₈) dispersion resulting from potential leaks in the HVAC systems of a train. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including project engineers and research specialists, to conduct literature reviews, analyze data, and develop advanced models, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of integrating analytical models into tools like Dymola, Python, Matlab, or Simulink, but also validating these tools against experimental data.
We’ll look to you for:
-
Reviewing literature on propane diphasic dispersion (modeling and experimental data)
-
Familiarizing yourself with the selected and validated analytical model
-
Collecting test results from an Alstom project on propane diphasic dispersion
-
Integrating the analytical model into an analytical tool
-
Validating the propane dispersion tool using an experimental database
-
Writing a user guide, documentation for the model and its validation, and an internship report
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
-
Currently enrolled in the final year of an engineering school (second or third year) or a Master’s program specializing in mechanics and energy (fluid mechanics)
-
Experience or understanding of analytical modeling and fluid mechanics
-
Knowledge of diphasic dispersion and enthalpy exchanges
-
Familiarity with tools such as Python, Matlab, Simulink, or Dymola
-
A strong analytical mindset
-
Good communication and technical writing skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
