Could you be the full-time Mechanical Lead Engineer in Saint-Ouen (near Paris) we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and supportive teammates.
You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical solutions for rolling stock projects and tenders, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery commitments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (including manufacturing, maintenance, and R&D), contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of defining robust mechanical designs within train environments, but also lead the mechanical domain deliverables with a team of designers (3-6 people).
We’ll look to you for:
-
Proposing design concepts compliant with Metier rules and standardization
-
Defining detailed designs that meet weight, cost, and performance requirements
-
Supporting manufacturing and maintenance teams during production ramp-up
-
Resolving project-specific mechanical issues and defining mitigation plans
-
Coordinating mechanical domain contributors on projects
-
Collaborating with the Mechanical EDU Manager to drive continuous improvement and capture Return of Experience
All about you:
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
-
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
-
At least 5 years of experience in mechanical integration within an engineering department, preferably in the transport sector
-
Strong knowledge of interior design, mechanical integration, and related technologies (e.g., aluminum profiles, composites, sheet metal)
-
Proficiency in Catia V5 for modeling and PDM solutions for managing digital mock-ups (e.g., DMA, Enovia, Teamcenter)
-
Expertise in stack-up analysis and drawing rules
-
Ability to independently design 3D mechanical concepts from scratch
-
Solid technical background in mechanically welded structures and sheet metal
-
A structured and organized hands-on approach
-
Professional-level English (both written and spoken) to lead technical meetings and documentation
