Your Mission:

In terms of expertise and responsibilities, the position involves supporting the Ethics and Compliance Director – Third Party Evaluation and Process in the design and implementation of the third party evaluation processes as part of the compliance program of the company, in particular:

 

  • Support in the design, continuous improvement and implementation of thedue diligence processes with regard to customers, sales partners,  JV, consortium & M&A partners, and suppliers.
  • Review the E&C tender risk analyses identified as E&C medium risk and propose mitigation plans with the Regional Compliance Officer
  • Review the E&C tender risk analyses identified as E&C high risk and propose mitigation plans with the Regional Compliance Officers for validation by the Chief Compliance Officer
  • Support with the identification and mitigation of Human Rights risks in tenders with the CSR Department
  • Perform E&C due diligence on third parties using third party due diligence tools, as required
  • Coordinate the Sales Partner due diligence process
  • Manage the processing of Sales Partner payment requests
  • Perform checks on the due diligence performed on customers by Regional Compliance Officers
  • Support procurement in the management of identified E&C risks involving suppliers
  • Support in the review and approval of changes to standard E&C contractual provisions
  • Hold awareness sessions on the third party due diligence processes
  • Manage relations with third party due diligence service providers
  • Support the management & filing of due diligence documentation
  • Support in the digitalization of the third party evaluation processes, where feasible
  • Perform analyses on third parties and, where appropriate, approve or reject business compliance-related requests
  • Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct 

 

EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements:

Mandatory:

Graduate Law degree or equivalent

 

Desirable:

MBA

 

Experience:

Mandatory

  • Previous experience in an international business environment
  • 7 years+ of experience in a professional field in law
  • Experience in legal and regulatory matters
  • Excellent English language skills.

 

Competencies & Skills:

  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to detect risks, investigate and raise relevant queries in order to properly assess ethical and compliance issues.
  • Organization and data management competencies.
  • Good level of maturity to work independently and take enlightened decisions.
  • Ability to interact with various functions within the company (procurement, finance, operations, etc.)
